ETIF - Ecvet Tools Implementation in Forestry
Introduction:
ETIF is a LdV VETPRO -project that aims at implementing contract models and documents, developed as a part of the FinEcvet2 project, in co-operation between Tampere College and the partner schools on the forestry sector. During the exchange periods, experts will get acquainted with curricula and content of the study modules in partner institutions. This kind of expert co-operation creates the foundations for defining studies in compliance with the EQF levels and for developing a credit system that would correspond with the ECVET -principles. Long term objective is that students from Tampere College could carry out some study modules at partner schools and vice versa.
Alongside the work related to the ECVET process teachers will get a possibility to develop their professional expertise and language skills which will benefit everyday teaching at Tampere College. One objective of the project is also to get more staff members interested in and involved with international co-operation. An important part of the project is also to find new work placements for students by, for example, creating contacts with local forest machine operators during the expert exchange periods. All the activities mentioned above support the goals defined in the internationalization strategy of Tampere College.
